教学目标：

1. 能灵活运用There be 句型。

2. 能正确理解、朗读Cartoon time 中的故事，能读懂其中的趣味之处，能在教师的指导下表演故事。

3. 了解字母c在单词=的发音。

教学重难点：

1. 能灵活运用There be 句型。

2. 能正确理解、朗读并表演Cartoon time 中的故事。

3. 培养学生的合作精神，提高英语学习兴趣。

学情分析：

学生经过两年的英语学习已经有了一定的语言基础知识和表达能力，但学生能力参差不齐，部分学生缺少有效的学习方法和与他人合作学习的意识，因此需注重加强方法指导和促进他们自主学习、师友合作。

教学过程：

Step1. Warming-up

1. Learning aims.

a. Can read and act(表演）the cartoon.

b. Know the sound (发音）of  letter “C”.

     2. Enjoy a song.

     a. T: Boys and girls, please enjoy a song and pay attention to the numbers.

     b. Answer the question: What’s in the song?

                        There is              sun.

There are           shoes.

There are            trees.

There are            doors.

There are             knives.

3. Free talk.

T: Today, we’ll have our English lesson in this classroom. Do you like this classroom? It’s big and nice, right? There are many things here. Let’s have a PK game between boys and girls. Say about the things here as many as possible. You have one minute to prepare.

Step2. Presentation.

1. Cartoon time.

a. (PPT shows the picture of Bobby and Tina sitting in the sitting-room.)

T: Look at this room. Is it nice too? What’s in this room?

S: Bobby and Tina.

T: Yes, Bobby and Tina are sitting on the sofa. What’s the matter with Bobby?

S: He’s hungry.

T: What’s for him? Listen to Tina. S: You can have some cakes.

T: Can Bobby find any cakes in the fridge? Let’s watch the cartoon.

b. Watch and answer.

Can Bobby find any cakes in the fridge? No, he can’t.

        What does Bobby say? (Learn to say “There aren’t any cakes here.”)

         Who eats the cakes?

         He’s Bobby and Tina’s cousin.  their cousin

c. Look and say.

Tina is very surprised. She says “Here are the cakes.” Who can say like Tina? Ask students to imitate the intonation.

What will they say? Talk in pairs. Ask some students to say out.

d. Read after the cartoon.

e. Happy Reading.

Read in roles.

Retell in groups.

Act the story out.

2. Sound time.

a. Read the phrases.

T: Look at the phrases from the story, can you read them?

Ss: …

T: Do you want to know the sound of the letter “c”?

b. Look and talk.

T: There are two coats on the wall. Whose coats are they? PPT shows another picture.

S: They’re Liu Tao’s uncle’s and cousin’s.

T: What’s the matter with them?

S: They have a cold.

T: Look, the doctor comes. What is he saying? Let’s listen.

c. Follow the tape.

d. Say the chant together.

e. Sum up.

T: Look at these words: uncle, cold, doctor, come, coat. What is the letter “c” pronounced? S: c says /k/.

Step3. Consolidation.

1. What other words have this sound? Write them down. If you can write more than 3 words, you can get three stars. If you can write 2 words, you can get two stars. If you only can write 1 word, you can get one star. Let the students say out the words.

2. Try to read some new words.
